Passover cards

I am, what my family refers to as a: Jew wanabe.
Yes, I'm in touch with my Jewish roots.
Yes, I LOVE Passover.
Yes, I claim to be Kosher... because I cook with Kosher salt.
Only problem is that I love Jesus. So I guess I'm technically a Jew for Jesus wanabe.
Yesterday I made a bunch of Passover cards (before sundown) to send to my family and friends who support me in my Jewish wanabeness.
I wish everyone, especially all my Jewish friends a very happy passover.

Weekend Thrift Finds

Saturday I was in Albuquerque for the MS walk. We had parked in a hotel parking lot and were walking to the event when I spotted a "parking lot sale". The sale was just beginning to be set up as it was early in the morning. I spied a white decorative bird cage on a table near the street and said to my friend Andra, "OOO I want that!" But we were on a mission so I just kept walking. A few hours later I was on my way back to my truck and I spotted the bird cage still sitting on the table... like it was just waiting for me. It had an original price tag of 19.99 on it, so I picked it up to find out what they were going to charge for it. At the same time I saw a white metal CD rack (at the time I didn't really know what it was, I just knew I liked it). Once I found someone to help me I was able to get both pieces for $9.00. Yip, $9.00 for BOTH! I'm not 100% sure what I will do with them... but they will live in either my craftroom, or come summer my back porch. Any thoughts?

Accordion Albums

I needed a wedding gift, and mini albums are my "go to gift" of choice. I love the thought of a young couple preserving their early memories for the generations to come.
Because I wasn't pressed for time I went ahead and made two of them... inside pages are almost the same in both albums. It doesn't take much more time to knock out two of them then it does to make one.

The accordion albums are 9x9 size.

Team Orange Poodle

I'm a "team caption" for the Multiple Sclerosis Walk in Albuquerque Saturday. If my team reaches our goal I've committed to dyeing my poodle Raleigh orange for the walk.

Savanna and I made these poodle bead necklaces for Team Orange Poodle. I used my Cricut with the Paper Pups cartridge. Laminated them, punched a hole and wired them on to the orange beads. It took us no time at all, and cost very little.

Sorry the pictures aren't great... Lamination is hard to photograph.

Birthday Card X3

I wanted to challenge myself this weekend, AND use my favorite card idea book Wishes.
I picked a card that was a size I've never made, and a recipe I'd never used before.
I made the base of each card the same, used the same papers,
but made three very different birthday cards.
